"Very well." If she's perturbed by the hesitance, it doesn't show. "I believe you are now aware of a certain mask known as the Farsighted Mask?"
The very same mask Shiny's mother had come into possession of some weeks ago now. The same mask Shiny had a picture of and was due to wear at her debut in a month and a half's time.
"Oh," is all she says for a long few moments while everything slots into place. Is that why she got those visions? Those don't come randomly. "Why do you want to know?"
Unicron got into her head. Who's to say this isn't another enemy? Mikaela decides to play it safe.
"I gave my word and promise to its owner to keep it's set safe. But now one who should not possess one of them does. There are slight bumps that mean neither I nor mine can go looking for it."
There's a sharp smile here; exact words are so very fun. "If it helps, you may call me Tara'isha."
"I believe you shall be stopping in at the Admhuria Mall in about a month or so to deliver something for the youngest Daēuua daughter?" Tara'isha's head cants slightly to the side at the end. It's not a question so much the confirmation of fact. "While you are there, I wish several of yours to do a bit of looking, shall we say?"
She nods lightly, noting the difference in accent from this woman and Shiny. Mikaela tries to commit as much as she can to memory, though only lingers on the detachment of supposed family ties for a moment. They are not human, so she can't try to project that.
"To ensure it is safe from those who would use it, as per my oath to Onyx Prime. Yet my own hands are currently tied by the thief who stole my True name."
A slight bump in the road, nothing more. "Your people shall not be in danger. I promise you this, and I promise once I have it, I shall move it to a safer location."
Mikaela will know she's telling the truth with both promises made.
Mikaela finds three questions to be a relatively arbitrary number, but she knows by now this is just how psychic stuff works. She takes it in stride and manages to not be too grumpy about it.
"How did you get involved with Onyx Prime?" One. "Why do you want it, other than to get it out the wrong hands?" Two. She pauses on the last one. "Why should I trust you?"
She knows the feeling she got-- but she knows by now those can be artificially created. Isn't that exactly what Quintessa did to Xercine, after all?
"I met him; we became friends over over. I could not tell you the time scale, only that it was was before their war was a glint. Then, one day, at the height of it, he vanished. Lost, gone. I know not where he is gone, or if he shall return. So, I keep what he left behind, the masks, safe. Until I either draw my last breath, the universe ends, Onyx Prime returns from whence he has gone."
She tilts her head, then pulls back the hood to reveal herself: 'Tara'isha Daēuua'. "Your choices matter; they make you you. I have no say in them, nor do I wish to."
If Shiny were healthy, Mikaela gets the feeling she'd look a lot like Tara'isha. Mikaela also gets the feeling that if they next meet, Tara's fate is very much in her hands.
Does Maccadam know about this? She should try to look into Onyx; see what happens. Not with the lenses, though.
"I'll trust your actions more than your words," she says, still a little hesitant. "I'll see about getting this done for you. Don't do anything you'll regret."

"I have a favour to ask, should accept to hear it."

"Tell me. I don't want to beat around the bush."

The same name as Shiny's mum.

"Alright," Mikaela says, noncomittally. "Let's get on with this. What's up? You don't just pop into someone's head for fun."

no subject
"Three. I shall take three and answer as best I am able."
